Project on the largest plant of Dalmatia’s distribution network

Replacement of secondary systems of 220 kV plant in SS Konjsko

HELB has finished yet another successful project in Dalmatia for Končar Energy and Transport Engineering – KET. The main goal of the project was the replacement of secondary systems at 220 kV plant of Croatian Transmission System Operator (HOPS) in SS 400/220/110/10 kV Konjsko.

HELB’s engagement on this project includes factory production of 12 AC switchboards 400/230 V, 50 Hz, installation and functional testing. The secondary equipment activities of the 220 kV, 110 kV switchyard include preparatory works related to the replacement of secondary equipment, control system integration, relay protection and voltage regulation.

SS Konjsko is the largest plant of Dalmatia’s power transmission network. The substation was built in 1983, in the proximity of Split, with an area of 11.5 ha and is divided into four units. At voltage level of 220 kV, SS Konjsko is connected with the most significant electric power sources HE Zakučac and HE Orlovac, at 400 kV it is connected with SS Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and RHE Velebit, while with HE Đale Konjsko it is connected via 110 kV transmission line. To other significant facilities of the transmission network, via 220 kV lines it is connected to SS 220/110/30 kV Bilice and PR 220 kV Brinje.
