Students showed great interest in the professional practice in HELB
With the aim of introducing itself to the students of electrical engineering and computing in Zagreb, HELB participated at Job Fair, in the company of 115 domestic and foreign technology companies.
The greatest enthusiasm was caused by the students work, which they have created during their practice at HELB and presented themselves at HELB’s stand at Job Fair. They developed a project in the field of application of the augmented reality for visualization of transformer cell monitoring and control system data.
The stand was continuously visited during both days of the fair, and the students expressed great interest and surprise by the fact that there is a private Croatian company successful in the field of power engineering.
“There are numerous queries for professional practice, which is a good way for students and us to meet each other and open up employment opportunities after their practice and graduation. The first request for concrete employment has arrived immediately after the fair”, said Marina Jakus, head of the Human Resources Sector at HELB.
The aim of the fair is to familiarize Croatian students with opportunities for employment, career development in Croatia and abroad and to link them with successful companies. Job Fair allows students to present themselves directly to business representatives and encourages them to think about the development of knowledge and skills and also the future of their career in Croatia.
