At the biggest wind energy conference

Spanish King Philip VI officially opened Wind Europe 2019

The Wind Europe 2019 Conference & Exhibition was held from 2nd until 4th of April in Bilbao. This year’s biggest and most significant event in the wind energy sector in Europe brought together key European institutions and the European economy in the wind industry field, and has also induced great interest outside the Europe, which was confirmed by the arrival of delegations from the United States, South America, Asia and Africa. The Conference was officially opened by Spanish King Philip VI, who recognized the importance of the conference and highlighted all the benefits that come with addressing the challenges of climate change and the usage of renewable energy sources.

Being aware of recent trends towards increased usage of wind energy, HELB participated in Conference together with other Croatian companies in order to demonstrate significance, value, knowledge, and experience they possess working on renewable energy projects, wind power plants in particular, as well as their efforts and plans in this area.

The wind is on its way to become the largest source of energy in the EU by 2030 – outpacing coal, nuclear energy and gas, and in 2020 it will already reach 230 GW (Photo 3.)

Together with representatives of European institutions and world corporations, Croatian experts and businessmen also participated. Among them was HELB’s CEO Mr. Mladen Perkov, who is also manager of the Intelligent Energy Cluster.

The goal is, with this type of synergy, to position Croatia as the regional leader of transition toward modern and renewable energy.
