Reconstruction of SS 1, Dubrovnik Airport

For Koncar – Energy and Transport Engineering HELB performed the entire reconstruction of the SS 1 Dubrovnik Airport substation. HELB has completed the construction of an internal electricity network and photovoltaic power plant as part of the project “Development and Reconstruction of Dubrovnik Airport”, which is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Republic of Croatia co-financed by EU funds. Project is the historical result for HELB, as evidenced by the fact that it is the only airport in Europe with reconstruction approved by the European Commission. The project included the reconstruction of the runway, new parking positions for aircraft, a modern fuel plant, the first of its kind in Croatia whose pipes will reach the parking position of the aircraft, a new administrative building, sewerage and numerous sub-projects, together with already completed reconstruction of the Airport’s passenger terminal.
