Never a stronger fight for students

A very successful Job Fair was held

More than 150 companies participated in the 16th Job Fair organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the FER Student Union, and the Electrical Engineering Students’ Club (KSET) at the Velesajam Zagreb. Long ago HELB recognized the importance of raising students’ awareness of the power industry, so at this year’s two-day event, it used the opportunity to present itself to students and future employees.

At its stand, HELB hosted numerous students, mostly from the energy field, to whom the HELB team presented their company, references, open positions, and how students can apply for summer internships. At the same time, they prepared a simulation of the self-maintenance of the circuit breaker, which raised great interest among students who had the opportunity to “play” with the device and connect the wires according to the scheme to make the circuit breaker work again, and the most successful won interesting prizes. HELB representatives were satisfied with the students’ interest and are looking forward to their future colleagues.

In two days of a eventful program, students had the opportunity to listen to 24 conversations and participate in 17 workshops. “We organize the Job Fair to enable our students to get to know the business environment and to better prepare for the jobs that await them after they graduate from university. I would like to tell all students to be regular in attending their studies, to fulfill their student obligations, and let the acquisition of knowledge be their priority. Don’t be an employee who studies casually, because when you get a FER diploma, the most attractive jobs in the world will open up for you’’, said the dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Vedran Bilas at the opening of the Job Fair.
