Sponsor at the largest power engineering meeting in the region
Contribution to the increasing trend of digitalization
The Croatian Branch of the International Council for Large Electric Power Systems – HRO CIGRÉ organized the 14th consultation on the energy management system, which, this year, was held in Sibenik from 10 to 13 November.
In addition to being a council sponsor, HELB gave its contribution with expert papers presenting very current topics “Application of augmented reality in engineering business” and “Blockchain + IoT Energy Platform”. The goal was to show and sensitize technicians and engineers to the use of new technologies and it was the contribution to the increasingly strong trend of the digitalization of the electricity sector.
An interesting panel “Challenges in the management of the energy system with a large share of wind farms and solar power plants” was held during the conference organized by the Croatian Renewable Energy Sources Association.
At this year’s Hro Cigre, more than 1500 professionals and scientists in the energy industry gathered together. 2500 pages of professional papers by 450 authors were issued, including presentations of projects and manufacturers etc.
At the opening, awards for special contributions and life’s work were also distributed.
The national branch of HRO CIGRÉ has been operating in Croatia since 1992. The conference is organized every odd and the symposium every even year.

Year in Review: What will we remember about 2023?
In the past year, HELB has achieved significant progress through numerous projects, both in the field and in the production facility.
