Increasing the development of new products from research and development activities

R&D project “System for optimization of losses in advanced networks” plans to develop a system for monitoring the energy flows of the secondary distribution network and thus provide in-depth insight into the state of the electricity network.

The project’s main goal is to develop a system for continuous analysis of technical parameters of the distribution network, which would use machine learning to estimate and predict technical and non-technical losses. The system includes measuring equipment for the installation of a secondary distribution network, a software platform for receiving, processing and analyzing data. The expected result of the established system is to provide a concrete insight into the secondary distribution in order to carry out informed optimization of the electricity distribution network by more precise geographical location and estimation and prediction of losses on transformer station lines.

The project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
